The charming surroundings of this peaceful river view restaurant provide seclusion and serenity. This elegant dining room, a central feature of the hotel, has retained its character with the original barrel-vaulted ceiling of its heritage. Intimate and relaxed this is the perfect setting for a delicious meal and our friendly and efficient staff will ensure you fully enjoy your time with us. Our dishes use only the finest produce and we make full use of what is available to us locally. The resulting style is traditional Scottish fare with a Mediterranean influence. This variety is complemented by a superb wine list with a selection from both the old and new worlds.

Open for dinner and pre-arranged lunches we offer a table d’hote menu with a wide selection of house specialities. These include dishes such as rack of Scottish Border lamb roasted in a garlic marinade served with Provence organic potato, grilled vine tomato and courgette and a rosemary jus and baked fillet of coley with crushed organic red potato with chives, root vegetables and a lemon herb sauce.

We are also able to cater for weddings, functions, conferences and the like, offering a selection of menus to suit your needs. Every Sunday we serve a sumptuous Sunday Lunch of hand carved meats - the perfect way to complement a day in the award-winning Visitor Attraction.
