Join us at New Lanark this summer for a huge range of Summer Activities for kids in Robert Owen's School for Children from Friday 28th June - Sunday 11th August.

Go back in time with one of our costumed tours or enjoy a lesson in our historic classroom. Take a magic carpet ride with our storytelling sessions and play with our historic toys.

Included in your ticket are Historic Classroom Roleplay sessions, step back in time and experience how children at New Lanark lived and learned in our classroom roleplay. Join us on a magic carpet ride of songs and stories as your guide takes you through magical worlds with songs and stories.

Lose yourself in another world as your guide takes you through an immersive storytelling experience (for the over 5’s). Experience how children of days gone by played with our toys and games from the past and join your guide at the Robert Owen School for Children on a fun and immersive tour for all the family as they teach you about life at New Lanark.

You ticket also includes learning about New Lanark’s past in our film theatre with a short series of movies playing all day and end your day with a popular family film in our film theatre every day from 3:30pm.

Only one hour drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh, your ticket also gives you access to the award-winning New Lanark Visitor Attraction which tells the internationally important story of New Lanark, from its founding as a cotton spinning village in 1785, to enlightened social and work place reforms of Robert Owen, to the closure of the mills in 1968. Step back in time and rediscover life of this working Mill village, explore the industrial heritage, pick up a gift in the Mill Shop, have breakfast or lunch in the Mill Café or New Lanark Mill Hotel Restaurant, or enjoy dinner in the latter, play in the park or simply take a seat by the waterwheel and soak up the history of this magnificent 18th century cotton mill village.
